Feature Fridays: Craftsy and Jessicakes Blog

Cake decorators and bloggers have followed the instructor, Jessica Harris of Craftsy's newest class, Clean and Simple Cake Design for years. We are all rejoicing on this accomplishment that Jessica has achieved. With Craftsy we get to learn even more great tips from Jessica in a class that we can keep forever and that can be viewed via computer, iPad, and iPhone. Jessica is the writer of the popular cake decorating blog, Jessicakes, where she shares with us all her lessons learned as well as her successes in the cake decorating world.

I personally have learned a lot about cake decorating from just reading Jessica's blog and now you all can too by purchasing her class, which can be found by going to Craftsy. I have looked at most of the class, which is pictured above, and I must say that it is well worth the purchase. You will learn things such as an easy way to make modeling chocolate. I also love how Jessica is the only Craftsy instructor to show how to make marshmallow fondant. As you all know that is my fondant of choice. To learn more about what is in this informative Craftsy class go here to the Jessicakes blog.

Above is an example of a cake that you will learn to decorate in the Craftsy class. On this cake and several others Jessica uses her wax paper transfer method to transfer a template onto the cake. I love how clean and crisp Jessica's cake designs are.

Please visit the blog Jessicakes and consider buying the Craftsy class. If you do purchase the class let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I hope that you all have a great weekend.

  1. I love Craftsy! I have purchased a couple of sewing classes from them. I have yet to do a cake class and this looks like a great one. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I love the sugar flower classes on Craftsy and have taken a few of the cake decorating classes. I haven't taken any of the sewing classes yet, but I do want to learn how to make quilts in the future.
