With Fall right around the corner and pumpkin recipes increasing on Pinterest I took to Cake Central to get some Fall inspired cake inspiration. There are many interpretations of the theme for inspiration, but I chose the cakes that stuck out the most to me. I chose each one for a different reason.
Picture from With Love & Confection
The first cake that caught my eye was from With Love & Confection. I love the rich colors in the cake and the contrast of the dark barrels to the colorful pumpkins and leaves. The pumpkins look like they have been picked fresh from a pumpkin patch, but were made using rice krispy treats. The barrels also look realistic with the holes throughout the design.
Photo from The Vagabond Baker
Sunflowers are my favorite flower so this cake from The Vagabond Baker really had my heart the first time that I saw it. The sunflowers look so real I would actually put them in a vase to display in my home. The covered cake board to look like a wooden floor adds an extra special touch to this cake.
Photo from Laura Loukaides Cakes
Pie is one of my favorite things to eat during the Fall so I searched for a realistic pie cake to feature in this blog post. Laura Laukaides Cakes is known for realism in her cakes and her sculpture work. This cake displays her talents. The crust/ fondant looks crisp as if it just came out of the oven. I love how the cake board has cherries spilled randomly on it just like it would in real life.

The simplicity of this last Fall inspired cake by Juniper Cakery is what sets it a part from the others. The Fall colors detailed by the ruffles is elegant. The gold acorns add another dimension of design to the cake.
